Terms of Service
Experio Terms of Service
Last Updated: September 10, 2026
Effective Date: September 10, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and LifeArk Co., Ltd. ("LifeArk", "Experio", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the Experio website, applications, platform, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an Account, accessing the Service, or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by any policies expressly incorporated into these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
1. Definitions
For purposes of these Terms:
- "Account" means a registered Experio user account.
- "Activity" means an activity, experience, meeting, session, interaction, event, task, service, or other arrangement created, offered, requested, booked, or conducted through the Service.
- "Host" means a User who offers, organizes, performs, or agrees to provide an Activity.
- "Visitor" means a User who requests, books, joins, or participates in an Activity.
- "User" means any person who accesses or uses the Service, including Hosts and Visitors.
- "User Content" means any text, image, video, audio, message, profile information, Activity information, review, or other content submitted, transmitted, uploaded, recorded, or otherwise made available by a User through the Service.
- "Experio Rules" means the rules, standards, restrictions, and conduct requirements published by Experio and updated from time to time.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Service.
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- you are at least 18 years old;
- you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms;
- you are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law;
- information you provide to Experio is accurate, complete, current, and not materially misleading; and
- your use of the Service complies with applicable laws and regulations.
Experio may require reasonable verification of your identity, age, contact information, payment information, or other information where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, payment processing, or access to particular features.
Experio may deny or restrict access to the Service where eligibility requirements are not satisfied.
3. User Accounts
Certain parts of the Service require an Account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your Account credentials and for activity conducted through your Account.
You must promptly notify Experio if you know or reasonably suspect that your Account has been accessed or used without authorization.
You must not:
- impersonate another person or entity;
- provide materially false, deceptive, or misleading information;
- create an Account on behalf of another person without authorization;
- sell, rent, transfer, assign, or unlawfully share your Account;
- access another User's Account without authorization;
- create Accounts for fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive purposes; or
- create or use additional Accounts to evade suspension, restriction, or termination.
Experio may refuse registration, limit Account functionality, or require additional verification where reasonably necessary.
4. Nature of the Service
Experio provides a technology platform through which Users may discover, communicate with, arrange, offer, request, book, and participate in Activities with other Users.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Experio does not itself provide, organize, operate, supervise, control, or perform Activities offered or undertaken by Users.
Experio is not, solely by providing the Service:
- a Host;
- a Visitor;
- a travel agency;
- a tour operator;
- an employer;
- an employment agency;
- an agent or representative of a User;
- a partner or joint venturer of a User; or
- the provider of an underlying Activity.
Experio may establish platform rules, facilitate communications, process or facilitate payments, moderate content, investigate complaints, restrict Accounts, provide support, and administer disputes without becoming the provider of an underlying Activity.
5. Relationship Between Users
Users interact with and enter into arrangements with one another independently.
When Users agree to an Activity through the Service, the participating Users may enter into a separate agreement with one another concerning that Activity.
Unless Experio expressly states otherwise, Experio is not a party to the underlying agreement between Users concerning the performance of an Activity.
Experio does not guarantee that:
- a User will perform any obligation;
- an Activity will be completed;
- information provided by a User is accurate or complete;
- a User has any specific qualification, license, experience, or ability;
- an Activity will meet another User's expectations; or
- a User will behave in any particular manner.
6. User Responsibilities
Each User is responsible for their own conduct and decisions while using the Service.
You agree to:
- use the Service lawfully;
- act honestly and in good faith;
- provide accurate and non-misleading information;
- comply with commitments you make through the Service;
- respect the rights of other Users and third parties;
- comply with applicable laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and local rules;
- comply with the Experio Rules; and
- avoid conduct that creates an unreasonable risk of harm to another person.
Each User is responsible for determining whether an Activity is legal, appropriate, safe, and suitable for their circumstances.
7. Host Responsibilities
A Host is solely responsible for the Activity they offer or agree to provide.
A Host represents and warrants that:
- information provided about the Activity is materially accurate;
- the Host is legally permitted to provide the Activity;
- the Host has any licenses, permits, registrations, qualifications, permissions, or insurance required by applicable law;
- the Activity does not unlawfully infringe the rights of another person;
- the Activity can reasonably be provided as represented; and
- the Host will comply with applicable laws, these Terms, and the Experio Rules.
Experio does not grant or certify any professional qualification, governmental authorization, license, permit, or legal right to provide an Activity.
Availability of an Activity or Host through the Service does not constitute Experio's endorsement, certification, approval, or guarantee.
8. Visitor Responsibilities
A Visitor is responsible for reviewing available information before requesting, booking, paying for, joining, or participating in an Activity.
Visitors are responsible for determining whether an Activity is suitable for them and for complying with lawful and reasonable conditions applicable to participation.
Participation in an Activity is voluntary and undertaken at the User's own discretion, subject to applicable law and these Terms.
9. Prices, Fees, and Payments
Experio may facilitate payments between Users and may charge fees for access to or use of the Service.
Applicable prices, fees, taxes, surcharges, and other transaction conditions will be disclosed through the Service before the relevant transaction is completed.
By making a payment through the Service, you authorize Experio and its applicable payment service providers to charge the payment method you provide for the amounts disclosed in connection with the transaction.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers, including Stripe or other providers selected by Experio.
Use of third-party payment services may also be subject to separate terms, privacy policies, and verification requirements imposed by the applicable provider.
Experio may deduct applicable platform fees, payment-processing charges, refunds, adjustments, taxes, withholding amounts, or other amounts authorized under these Terms or disclosed in connection with the transaction.
Experio may change its pricing or fees for future transactions. Any applicable amounts will be disclosed before the User enters into the relevant transaction.
10. Payouts
Where a Host is entitled to receive payment through the Service, the Host may be required to register with a supported payment provider or provide information reasonably required to process payouts.
Hosts may be required to satisfy applicable identity, business, tax, banking, sanctions, anti-fraud, or regulatory requirements.
Experio may delay, withhold, cancel, reverse, or adjust a payout where reasonably necessary in connection with:
- a refund;
- a payment dispute;
- a chargeback;
- suspected fraud;
- an unauthorized transaction;
- an investigation;
- a violation of these Terms or the Experio Rules;
- incomplete or inaccurate payment information;
- a legal or regulatory requirement; or
- another legitimate payment, compliance, or security concern.
Experio is not responsible for delays caused solely by banks, payment providers, financial institutions, payment networks, or other third-party systems outside Experio's reasonable control.
11. Taxes
Users are responsible for determining and satisfying their own tax obligations arising from use of the Service.
Hosts are responsible for taxes relating to income or other amounts they receive through the Service unless Experio is legally required to collect, withhold, report, or remit such amounts.
Experio may request tax-related information from Users and may disclose transaction or User information to governmental or regulatory authorities where legally required.
12. Cancellations, Refunds, and Transaction Conditions
Cancellation, refund, payout, completion, and other transaction conditions applicable to a particular Activity or transaction will be those disclosed through the Service before the transaction is completed, together with any applicable Experio policy.
Users are responsible for reviewing those conditions before confirming a transaction.
Experio may issue, facilitate, deny, reduce, or adjust a refund where permitted by applicable law and the conditions applicable to the transaction.
Experio may also adjust, reverse, withhold, release, or reallocate amounts where reasonably necessary to address:
- transaction errors;
- payment disputes;
- chargebacks;
- User disputes;
- fraud;
- unauthorized transactions;
- violations of these Terms or the Experio Rules; or
- other circumstances provided for in the applicable transaction conditions.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory refund, cancellation, withdrawal, or consumer right available under applicable law.
13. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Users must not knowingly initiate fraudulent, dishonest, or abusive chargebacks or payment disputes.
Experio may provide transaction records and other relevant information to payment processors, card networks, banks, financial institutions, or other parties involved in investigating or resolving a payment dispute.
Experio may restrict or suspend an Account associated with fraudulent or abusive payment activity.
Nothing in this Section prevents a User from lawfully disputing an unauthorized or otherwise legally disputable transaction.
14. Experio Rules
Use of the Service is subject to the Experio Rules.
The Experio Rules are incorporated into these Terms by reference and form part of the agreement between you and Experio.
Users must comply with the Experio Rules while using the Service or participating in Activities arranged through the Service.
Experio may take proportionate enforcement action for violations of the Experio Rules, including:
- issuing warnings;
- restricting functionality;
- removing or limiting content;
- cancelling or restricting transactions where appropriate;
- temporarily suspending Accounts; or
- permanently terminating access to the Service.
15. Safety and Assumption of Risk
Experio enables Users to interact with independent persons, including through in-person and remote Activities.
Interactions between people may involve risks, including risks associated with:
- meeting unfamiliar people;
- travel;
- transportation;
- unfamiliar locations;
- physical activity;
- outdoor environments;
- private or public property;
- food or beverages;
- equipment;
- communication with strangers; and
- the conduct or decisions of other Users.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, each User accepts the ordinary risks associated with voluntarily participating in Activities and interacting with other Users.
Experio does not guarantee:
- the identity of every User;
- the truthfulness of every User statement;
- the character, intentions, or conduct of a User;
- the safety of an Activity or location;
- the qualifications of a Host; or
- that an Activity is appropriate for a particular User.
Any verification, review, moderation, or security process made available through the Service is intended to reduce certain risks but does not constitute a guarantee of identity, trustworthiness, qualifications, legality, safety, or conduct.
Experio is not an emergency service.
Users facing an immediate threat, crime, medical emergency, or other emergency should contact the appropriate local authorities or emergency services.
16. Compliance With Laws
Users are solely responsible for complying with laws applicable to their conduct and Activities.
Depending on the nature and location of an Activity, applicable laws or local rules may require licenses, permits, insurance, registrations, professional qualifications, governmental approvals, venue permissions, filming permissions, or other authorizations.
Experio does not determine whether such requirements apply to a particular User or Activity.
Experio may restrict particular Users, Activities, transactions, locations, countries, payment methods, or functionality where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, regulatory requirements, sanctions, payment restrictions, safety obligations, or other legal requirements.
17. User Content
Users retain ownership of their User Content.
By submitting or making User Content available through the Service, you grant LifeArk a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, transmit, display, distribute, and otherwise use that User Content to the extent reasonably necessary to:
- operate and provide the Service;
- display User Content as intended through the Service;
- facilitate communications, Activities, and transactions;
- provide customer support;
- investigate fraud, safety concerns, complaints, or violations;
- administer disputes;
- enforce these Terms and the Experio Rules;
- maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
- protect Experio, Users, and third parties; and
- comply with legal obligations.
You represent and warrant that you have all rights, licenses, consents, and permissions necessary to submit your User Content and grant the rights described in these Terms.
You remain responsible for your User Content and for ensuring that its creation, recording, publication, transmission, and use comply with applicable law and the rights of third parties.
Experio may retain copies of User Content where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, completed transactions, dispute resolution, enforcement, backup, or the exercise or defense of legal claims.
18. Content Restrictions and Removal
Users must not submit, transmit, create, request, or distribute User Content that violates applicable law, these Terms, or the Experio Rules.
Experio may review, restrict, disable access to, or remove User Content where Experio reasonably believes that the content:
- violates these Terms or the Experio Rules;
- violates applicable law;
- infringes the rights of another person;
- creates a material safety or security risk;
- is fraudulent or deceptive; or
- may expose Experio or Users to significant legal or regulatory risk.
Experio is not obligated to monitor all User Content before it appears through the Service.
19. Intellectual Property
Except for User Content and third-party content, the Service and associated intellectual property are owned by or licensed to LifeArk.
This includes, without limitation:
- the Experio name and trademarks;
- logos and branding;
- software;
- source and object code;
- databases;
- platform architecture;
- interfaces;
- designs;
- graphics;
- documentation;
- text created by Experio; and
- proprietary technology.
Subject to these Terms, LifeArk grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable right to access and use the Service for its intended purposes.
You may not, except where expressly authorized by Experio or permitted by applicable law:
- reproduce or redistribute the Service;
- copy substantial parts of the Service;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code;
- scrape or systematically extract Service data;
- bypass security or technical restrictions;
- use Experio trademarks without authorization;
- interfere with operation of the Service;
- access the Service through unauthorized automated means; or
- use Experio's intellectual property to create or operate a competing service through unauthorized copying.
20. Feedback
If you voluntarily provide Experio with ideas, suggestions, recommendations, or feedback concerning the Service, you grant LifeArk the unrestricted right to use that feedback without compensation or obligation to you.
This Section does not transfer ownership of User Content generally.
21. Third-Party Services
The Service may use, link to, rely upon, or integrate third-party products and services, including:
- payment processors;
- mapping and location providers;
- cloud infrastructure;
- authentication providers;
- communication systems;
- video or media infrastructure;
- analytics services; and
- other technology providers.
Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Experio does not control independent third-party services and is not responsible for their acts, omissions, availability, or performance except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
22. Service Availability and Changes
Experio does not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
The Service may be unavailable, interrupted, delayed, or restricted because of:
- maintenance;
- software updates;
- technical failures;
- internet or network failures;
- third-party service failures;
- security incidents;
- legal or regulatory requirements;
- force majeure events; or
- other circumstances outside Experio's reasonable control.
Experio may modify, replace, restrict, suspend, or discontinue features or parts of the Service where reasonably necessary for operational, technical, legal, security, commercial, or safety reasons.
Where reasonably practicable and appropriate, Experio may provide notice of material changes affecting existing Users.
23. Suspension and Termination
Experio may investigate suspected violations of these Terms, the Experio Rules, applicable law, or other applicable policies.
Experio may restrict, suspend, or terminate an Account where Experio reasonably determines that:
- the User materially or repeatedly violated these Terms;
- the User violated the Experio Rules;
- the User engaged in fraud, abuse, deceptive conduct, or unlawful activity;
- the Account creates a meaningful safety or security risk;
- the Account is being used without authorization;
- the User attempts to circumvent a previous restriction, suspension, or termination;
- continued access creates significant legal, regulatory, payment, or compliance risk; or
- restriction or termination is required by law.
Experio may take immediate action without prior notice where reasonably necessary to protect Users, Experio, third parties, payment systems, or the integrity of the Service.
Where appropriate and reasonably practicable, Experio may notify the User of an enforcement action.
24. Effect of Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time.
Termination or closure of an Account does not extinguish obligations arising from transactions, conduct, payments, disputes, or liabilities occurring before termination.
Following termination, Experio may retain information where reasonably necessary for:
- legal compliance;
- completed transactions;
- financial and accounting records;
- tax requirements;
- fraud prevention;
- security;
- dispute resolution;
- enforcement; or
- exercise or defense of legal claims.
Any provisions which by their nature are intended to survive termination will remain in effect.
25. No Employment, Agency, or Partnership
Users are independent persons.
Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, worker, agency, partnership, franchise, fiduciary, representative, or joint venture relationship between Experio and any User.
Hosts are not employees, workers, agents, or representatives of LifeArk solely because they use the Service.
No User has authority to bind LifeArk or make representations, warranties, agreements, or commitments on behalf of LifeArk.
26. No Endorsement
Experio's inclusion, publication, display, verification, moderation, recommendation, ranking, or presentation of a User, Activity, profile, review, or other information does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee by Experio unless Experio expressly states otherwise.
Experio does not independently guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, safety, legality, suitability, or quality of User-provided information or Activities.
27. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Experio does not warrant or guarantee that:
- the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free;
- defects will always be corrected;
- the Service will always be secure;
- User Content will always be accurate or reliable;
- Users will perform their obligations;
- an Activity will be completed;
- an Activity will meet a User's expectations; or
- use of the Service will eliminate risks associated with interacting with other people.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, guarantee, remedy, statutory right, or consumer protection that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
28. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability to the extent such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
In particular, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits LifeArk's liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence where such exclusion or limitation would be invalid under applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LifeArk will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising out of or relating to use of the Service.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, LifeArk is not responsible for losses arising solely from:
- acts or omissions of another User;
- conduct occurring during an Activity independently performed by Users;
- inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information provided by a User;
- failure of a User to perform an agreement;
- violation of law by a User;
- loss, theft, damage, injury, delay, or other events outside Experio's reasonable control;
- independent acts or failures of third-party service providers; or
- events Experio could not reasonably prevent through reasonable measures.
Where applicable law permits liability for ordinary negligence to be limited, LifeArk's liability will be limited to the extent reasonable and legally permitted in the circumstances.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable law.
29. User Liability and Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for losses, liabilities, damages, claims, costs, and reasonable expenses incurred by LifeArk or a third party to the extent caused by your intentional or negligent:
- violation of these Terms;
- violation of the Experio Rules;
- violation of applicable law;
- infringement of another person's rights;
- fraud;
- misconduct; or
- breach of an agreement with another User.
Where legally permitted, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless LifeArk and its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates from third-party claims arising from such conduct.
This Section does not impose liability on a consumer beyond what is permitted by applicable law.
30. Disputes Between Users
Users are primarily responsible for resolving disputes arising from their interactions or agreements with one another.
Experio may provide tools or procedures to facilitate resolution of User disputes.
Where a dispute is submitted through an Experio dispute process, Users agree to provide truthful and reasonably complete information relevant to the dispute.
Experio's involvement in a dispute does not make Experio a party to the underlying agreement between Users.
Where Experio makes a decision concerning a platform payment, refund, payout, Account restriction, Activity status, or other Service-related matter, that decision relates to administration of the Service and does not determine any legal rights Users may have against one another outside the Service.
31. Release Relating to Other Users
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you acknowledge that disputes, claims, injuries, losses, or damages may arise from the acts or omissions of other Users.
Except to the extent caused by LifeArk's own conduct for which liability cannot lawfully be excluded, LifeArk is not responsible for resolving or compensating claims arising solely from the independent conduct of another User.
Nothing in this Section excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
32. Privacy
Experio's handling of personal information is described in the Experio Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy is separate from these Terms and explains how Experio collects, uses, stores, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have been provided access to the Privacy Policy.
33. Changes to These Terms
Experio may amend these Terms where reasonably necessary because of changes to:
- the Service;
- applicable laws or regulations;
- legal interpretations or regulatory requirements;
- security or safety requirements;
- payment systems;
- business operations; or
- other legitimate circumstances.
Experio will make updated Terms available through the Service or another appropriate method and will specify the date on which the updated Terms become effective.
Where required by applicable law, or where a change materially affects Users' rights or obligations, Experio will provide reasonable advance notice.
Experio may implement changes without advance notice where immediate implementation is reasonably necessary for legal, regulatory, security, fraud-prevention, or safety reasons.
Amendments will not ordinarily apply retroactively to completed transactions.
Your continued use of the Service after amended Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those amended Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
34. Electronic Communications
Experio may provide notices and communications relating to the Service electronically, including by:
- email;
- in-app notification;
- Account notification; or
- publication through the Service where legally permitted.
You are responsible for maintaining accurate and current contact information associated with your Account.
35. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Nothing in these Terms deprives a consumer of protections that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable law.
36. Jurisdiction
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
Where mandatory applicable law gives a consumer the right to bring proceedings in another court or jurisdiction, that mandatory right will not be restricted by this Section.
37. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted, limited, or severed to the minimum extent necessary.
The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
38. No Waiver
Failure by LifeArk to exercise or enforce any right or provision under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
A waiver is effective only to the extent expressly made by LifeArk.
39. Assignment
You may not assign, transfer, or delegate your rights or obligations under these Terms without LifeArk's prior written consent.
LifeArk may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, financing, sale of assets, transfer of business, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.
40. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Experio Rules and any other policies expressly incorporated into these Terms, constitute the agreement between you and LifeArk regarding your use of the Service.
Information provided in the FAQ, Help Center, onboarding materials, or explanatory pages is intended primarily to explain operation of the Service and does not modify these Terms unless expressly stated to form part of a binding agreement or transaction.
Transaction-specific terms, prices, fees, conditions, cancellation rules, refund rules, deadlines, and disclosures expressly presented to and accepted by a User in connection with a transaction also apply to that transaction.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and transaction-specific conditions expressly presented to and accepted by a User, the transaction-specific conditions will govern that transaction to the extent of the conflict, unless prohibited by applicable law.
41. Language
These Terms may be made available in multiple languages.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law, if there is any inconsistency between translations, the English-language version will prevail.
